Autism Testing

Research has shown that early intervention is crucial in treating autism spectrum disorders. A diagnostic evaluation is the first step in attaining proper treatment for autism spectrum disorders. During the diagnostic evaluation, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist meets with and evaluates your child. The diagnostic evaluation includes gathering a developmental history and behavioral observations of the child and using standardized autism diagnostic measures as well as cognitive functioning measures. This evaluation will determine the child’s diagnosis and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.

If you are concerned that your child might be on the autism spectrum and are considering a diagnostic evaluation we first provide phone consultation in order to ensure that your child is an appropriate candidate for an autism evaluation. These consultations are performed by a clinician prior to scheduling an appointment.
