Autism Treatment

Autism treatment is individually customized for each child. When we first meet with your child we gather information regarding their social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. We then create an individualized treatment plan based upon your child’s unique social, emotional, and behavioral profile. Because children with autism have difficulty relating with others, much of the therapy services we offer are relationship-based services, using principles from Stanley Greenspan’s Floortime model. By working with the child and the child’s caregivers, we help caregivers learn interventions to promote their child’s social growth and enhance the quality of relationships in the child’s life.

Dance and Movement Therapy

This therapy is provided by a registered dance movement therapist. This type of therapy uses music and movement based upon Floortime principles. Due to the difficulty children with autism spectrum disorders have communicating verbally, this type of nonverbal communication can be pivotal in helping children begin to interact with others.
