Autism Treatment

Autism treatment is individually customized for each child. When we first meet with you and your child, we gather information regarding their social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. We then create an individualized treatment plan based upon your child’s unique social, emotional, and behavioral profile. Because children with autism have difficulty relating with others, our therapy services are relationship-based services, using principles from Stanley Greenspan’s Floortime model. By working with the child and the child’s caregivers, we help caregivers learn interventions to promote their child’s social growth and relationships.

Neurofeedback Training

Neurofeedback training is endorsed by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Psychological Association for the treatment of problems related to concentration, impulsivity and hyperactivity. Neurofeedback is also used for anxiety and anger problems associated with autism.

Neurofeedback is a direct training of the brain. It trains the brain to know how to stay calm and focused and to avoid emotional and behavioral dysregulation (seizures, meltdowns, migraines, crying spells, panic attacks).

This amazing training is a great adjunct to behavior and medication therapies. Many of our patients have been able to reduce their medication dosages and some eventually discontinue medication. Contact us for more information.
