Dr. Leanne Beale is a licensed clinical psychologist who completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at Northern Illinois University and then her Masters degree and Doctoral degree at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She first began working with children on the autism spectrum during her undergraduate work when she provided in home services for a child with lower functioning Autism. Dr. Beale has since provided therapy and psychological testing for children in a School Problems Clinic where she completed educational testing in order to assess for cognitive disabilities, an ADHD clinic, an inpatient hospital setting, outpatient mental health centers, and in schools. She has provided psychological testing for diagnostic clarification, neuropsychological testing, disability evaluations, and parental fitness evaluations. While she has experienced a diversity of training, providing diagnostic evaluations and therapy for children on the Autism Spectrum is her specialty. Dr. Beale is currently a board member of the Utah chapter of the Autism Society of America that is in the formation process.

Amber was first introduced to autism when a close family member was diagnosed. She was in high school at the time and decided to take a psychology class in order to better understand autism and learn how she could help her family. From there, she decided to pursue advanced training in psychology. Amber completed her bachelor of science degree at Southern Utah University and her Masters degree at the University of Utah. During the course of her training she ran social skills groups for children. During her internship year she began formal training with autism at an outpatient children’s mental health clinic working with birth to six year olds. Amber has since been training at the Autism Assessment and Treatment Center.

Laraine grew up with an autistic brother just one year older than she. Her father was a passionate advocate of her brother’s cause and formed the first ARC in her home town, and became it’s first president. He raised money for facitlities for the developmentally disabled, including a sheltered worshop and a school for the retarded where Laraine worked in the summers. While following her passion of dance and dance/movement therapy she became inspired by a documentary of dance/movement therapist, Janet Adler’s work with austitic children, and how powerful this modality is for creating connection with these emotionally remote children. Laraine recieved her undergraduate degree in Physical Educaion/Dance Option at BYU and master’s degree at California State University, Hayward in P.E./Dance Therapy. She went on to complete a master’s degree in Counseling/ Mental HealthOption at CSUH. Laraine is now a registered Dance/ Movement Therapist, a Licensed Professional Counselor and she retains an inactive Marriage Family Therapy License in California. Laraine has had extensive experience as a therapist for children on the autism spectrum and their families.
